Henry Ford

Henry Ford and automobiles have an interesting history. In the late 1800s, Henry Ford became interested in automobiles and set up his own company. His first automobile was a small, one-cylinder gas car. The car’s engine was built on a wood table in his kitchen and was completed in June of 1896. It was one of the first automobiles that was affordable to the average American.

Karl Benz

The Karl Benz Automobiles Museum is a must-visit stop for anyone interested in the history of cars. Visitors can see early car designs dating back to the horse carriage era, as well as modern concept vehicles. In addition, there is a special exhibit focusing on the history of tires and how they have been a key component in automobile design.

Daimler

Daimler automobiles have a long history. The company was founded in 1926 and is now a leader in the automotive industry. The company is headquartered in Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg, Germany.

Maybach

The Maybach automobile was created by German engineer Wilhelm Maybach, who was the chief designer at Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft in Stuttgart-Unterturkheim until 1907. The company was established by Maybach’s son Karl in 1909, and the two started building their first automobile engines. The Maybach brothers focused on building engines for airships during World War I, but after the war, they decided to produce their own vehicles and began developing a new line of models.

George Baldwin Selden

George Baldwin Selden and automobiles: George Baldwin Selden began his career in Rochester, New York, and eventually founded a successful company. In fact, he is credited with the idea of the gasoline-powered car. He patented his invention in 1879, but delayed its release until the social need for it had increased. Regardless, Selden helped pave the way for the automobile industry in America.

Karl Benz is often credited as the inventor of the automobile, but it isn’t a simple story. His invention was the first practical gasoline-powered vehicle and he went on to make a number of important innovations in key automotive components. While his career was rocky at first, he eventually became one of the most influential figures in the industry. His companies revolutionized the automobile industry in Europe and inspired U.S. upstarts.
